Ghana’s Government Officials Donate Their Salaries To Help Fight COVID-19

Ghana’s Ministers of State, the Chief of Staff at the Office of the President, the vice presidents of Staff, Secretary to the President, Secretary to the Cabinet, Presidential Staffers and Presidential Aides at the Presidency have all aided in the battle against the pandemic, coronavirus by enthusiastically donationg fifty percent, half of their pay rates, for the next three months (April, May and June).

The donation was made to the COVID-19 National Trust Fund, which was built up by the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo.

This is to assist with battling against the infection and to aid the government assistance of the poor and the helpless. Particularly during this lockdown period.

Then again, the State’s Deputy Ministers will likewise do same with half of their pay rates for three (3) months.

However, The President on Friday, 27th March, 2020, likewise gave his next a quarter of a year’s pay into the exceptional COVID-19 National Trust Fund as seed capital.
