Tyrone Marhguy, the young Rastafarian who was almost denied admission to Achimota School because of his dreadlocks has won two honors from the American Arithmetic Olympiad 2023 for his extraordinary achievements in grade 12.
Marhguy secured the title of the 2023 overall national top scorer, getting the Gold award after contending with in excess of 150,000 students around the world.
In addition, he surpassed 38,000 test takers to win the Vanda Science International Olympiad’s Silver award.
