GJA Awards: Edward Adeti Is The Journalist Of The Year

At the 28th GJA Media Awards, Edward Adeti, who works as a writer, reporter, and producer for Media Without Borders (MWB), was chosen as the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) P.A.V. Ansah Journalist of the Year 2023.

Stealing From The Sick,” an investigative piece by Adeti, exposed a syndicate whose actions may have cost lives and the mystery behind drug shortages at Bolgatanga Regional Hospital.

He was awarded the prestigious P.A.V. Ansah Journalist of the Year for his outstanding work.

On Saturday, September 28, he was honored for his courageous and impactful reporting, which demonstrates the dedication and skill of Ghanaian journalists despite the risks and serious challenges they encounter in line of duty.

Apart from Adeti, journalists in a variety of fields were also honored at the 28th GJA Media Awards, including health reporting, education, sports, entertainment, investigative journalism, gender, environment, and science and technology.

On the other hand, the award for Best Television News Reporter went to Fred Duhoe of Channel One TV, which is owned by Citi FM.
