Gmail Introduces A New Blue Check Feature For Its Users

Since Elon Musk bought Twitter, a lot of changes have taken place. As a matter of fact, changes have largely been made on the platform, with some users happy, whilst others have some few unanswered questions. That being said, a few organizations
observed and have chosen to carry out some changes on their platform.

Google has announced that, it has added an additional security layer for Gmail users: blue check-marks. This is an improvement on BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification), a feature that allows senders to display their brand logo as an avatar in emails by requiring advanced authentication.

With the introduction of this new feature, Gmail users will see a blue-checkmark for senders that have embraced BIMI. It’s a visual indication that the email you get is legitimate and safe to open without risking having your phone or computer hacked.

It’s important to remember that this feature doesn’t have a setting for end users. If the email comes from a BIMI-approved company, they will simply see the blue checkmark attached to it. You only need to adhere to Google’s guidelines.

The new feature’s rollout has already begun, and it should be available to everyone by now. This includes users of Google Workspace, users of older versions of G Suite Basic and Business, and users who have Google Accounts.
