One of Ghana’s extraordinary musicians, Dr. Knii Lante has bewailed why good music in Ghana don’t get the acknowledgment it merits. As per the singer, other than himself, there are tons of good and satisfying melodies with smart verses, yet has been treated as junk by Ghanaians.
The medical doctor and performer has been in the music business for almost a decade, and has been producing acceptable tunes that associates with the audience members. Dr. Knii Lante was speaking to a local radio broadcast in Accra, Ghana (Hitz FM) why his melodies and other great ones out there are not promoted true to form in Ghana.
According to Lante, he can’t understand why this is going on in Ghana. He thinks ‘fast food’ tunes make the most commotion yet within a couple of months, it dies out.
Comparing everlasting and wonderful tunes from Kojo Antwi, Late Danny Nettey, Daddy Lumba, Bob Marley and a lot more to the ongoing sort of tunes, he said these legends are as yet getting airplay everywhere throughout the world not because of their character but the sort of good tunes they created.
Knii Lante is stunned why incredible capable artists in Ghana endure before getting the airplay they merit. That said, he trusts Ghanaians hail ‘garbage’ tunes rather than great melodies. Ghana boasts of lovely vocalists like Efya, Feli Nuna, Wiyaala Noela, Kwadwo Akwaboah Jnr. and a lot more but they need support from Ghanaians.
