Government Raises Base Salary For Nurses In Remote Places

According to Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, Minister of Health, the government has authorized a 20% raise in base salary for nurses working in distant locations.

By luring and keeping skilled nurses, this program seeks to improve healthcare services in underprivileged areas.

Furthermore, the government has authorized a 10% increase in the basic wage for all public sector employees under the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS), which would take effect from January to December 2025.

This general change is a reflection of continuous attempts to raise pay for public employees, particularly those in the healthcare industry.
