Grammy Awards: Rocky Dawuni Bags A New Nomination

Ghanaian artiste, Rocky Dawuni, has received a nomination for the impending 65th Grammy Awards.

This will be a record-third nomination from the awards scheme, taking everything into account.

The selection of his song ‘Never Bow Down’ for the Best Global Music Performance category comes after the performer was considered by the Grammys back in 2015 and 2021.

Rocky Dawuni’s nomination was announced on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, by the Recording Academy. Dawuni says he is “honored to be nominated.”

Meanwhile, other songs gunning for the same award are Burna Boy’s ‘Last Last’, ‘Udhero Na’, by Arooj Aftab and Anoushka Shankar, and ‘Gimme Love’, by Matt B and Eddy Kenzo, and ‘Baythe’ by Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo Zikode.

In 2021, Rocky Dawuni’s project ‘Voice of Bunbon Vol. 1’ secured a place in the Best Global Music Album category after his ‘Branches of The Same Tree’ was nominated for Best Reggae Album in 2015.
