Among the 10 medals, only Abeiku Jackson’s was considered, as the 9 awards couldn’t be added to the country’s count on the award table on the grounds that the MMA is a ‘demonstration sport’ at the Games.

As at now, Ghana have won 5 recognized awards including 1 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze.

The host country, thus, sit twelfth on the medals table which is led by Egypt who have amassed 94 medals following 5 days into the Games.
