The Greater Accra Regional Minister Linda Obenewaa Ocloo spoke about projects to improve Accra’s aesthetics and environmental standards on the Angel Morning Show with Saddick Adams on April 4, 2025.
The Minister stressed that in order to solve problems like unlicensed construction, poor sanitation, and other factors that contribute to urban disorder, stringent procedures must be put in place and prosecutions must be pursued.
The Minister said, she and her team are committed to transforming Accra while she is in office. She added that, the city has become indisciplined and that many individuals are breaking the law without consequence.
However, Hon. Ocloo stated that in order to make Accra tidy and attractive, they have established urban development and beautification policies.
The Greater Accra region’s proactive approach to urban management is demonstrated by the Minister’s dedication to upholding rules and prosecuting offenders.
Like she did in Madina Zongo Junction, a well-known Accra suburb, she also announced the launch of Sanitation Day in Accra soon.
Through frequent community clean-up events, this program seeks to improve public health and environmental cleanliness.
