The 2022 Tourism Report, which provides insights into the performance of Ghana’s tourism industry during the year under review, was presented alongside the Ghana Tourism Authority’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.

At the launch, Mr. R. Yofi Grant, CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Council (GIPC), praised the Tourism Authority’s efforts to establish Ghana as a top tourist destination over the past 50 years. In addition, he urged stakeholders in the sector to concentrate on improving quality, health and safety, and infrastructure in order to solidify Ghana’s position as a top tourist destination.

He promised that GIPC and the Ghana Tourism Authority would continue to collaborate on branding the nation both within and outside the country.

Participants at the highest levels attended the event, including; Minister of Tourism, Creative Arts and Culture, Hon. Ibrahim Awal, and his deputy Mark Okraku Mantey; CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority, Akwasi Agyeman; CEO of Ghana Tourism Development Company, Kwadwo Antwi; as well as key private sector players.
