He Was Mistakenly Killed. And Now, Perpetual Didier Is Calling For Justice..

Perpetual Didier

Perpetual Didier, a gospel singer, is pleading with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to intervene in the death of his brother on January 30, 2023, which occurred as a result of police brutality at the West Hills Mall in Accra.

The gospel singer mentioned earlier in a Facebook live that her family was demoralized by the incident and demanded that justice be served.

“Someone should tag the IGP, I need justice for my brother. Tell him that this is the crime one of his men has done to my family by killing my brother.

“We are all Ghanaians with equal rights and freedom, why will you use your position to take someone’s life?” a tearful Perpetual said in the post.

Perpetual narrated the events that led up to the death of his brother, stating that Shadrach Arloo was supposed to travel to Germany on January 31 with two other children.

She said that the deceased had gone to the mall to buy some things that he was supposed to bring to his host sister in Germany.

However, when he got to the West Hills Mall, the police officer who was there ordered a search of the money-filled bag.

The singer claimed that Shadrach refused to be searched by the police officer, relying on accounts from witnesses.

The officer then hit and pushed his brother, who fell to the ground, broke his neck, and eventually lost consciousness. He used a taser on the deceased, likely to worsen his incapacitated state, without being concerned about the deceased’s helplessness.

It is believed that the shock and brutality of Perpetual’s demands for justice caused Shadrach’s death.

She mentioned that the incident was reported to the Kasoa SCC Police station and that the deceased person’s body had been transferred to the Police Hospital morgue.

Perpetual went on to say that the family will go to any lengths to get justice for Shadrach.
