The Asantehene, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, has asked Ghanaians to join efforts at promoting the processing and consumption of cocoa products in the country.
Otumfour said increased homegrown processing and consumption of cocoa was the most ideal way to assist with realising the maximum capacity of the cocoa industry.
Consequently, the Asante King has importuned all Ghanaian to help the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) and the government to create awareness to the advantages of increased utilization of chocolate and other cocoa-obtained products to the individual and the economy.
Meanwhile, COCOBOD has also asked Ghanaians to consume more Ghana chocolate and cocoa products in celebration of the country’s cocoa, especially on Valentine’s Day every year.
Ghana Cocoa Board In Agreement With Bühler
The cocoa consumption is a drive of the COCOBOD and the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) to create awareness and sensitise Ghanaians about the need to consume more Ghana chocolate and cocoa-based products.
Otumfuor Osei Tutu, has also vowed to assume his part in the promotion of cocoa consumption to empower more Ghanaians to profit from it, as he could consistently verify the wellbeing and wholesome benefits that accompanied it.
According to the King, he could validate the benefits following quite a while of sustained consumption and encouraged Ghanaians to develop the propensity to partake in the benefits too.
