Huawei Unveils Its Latest Phone ‘Mate X3’

Huawei is still in the innovative state of mind as the organization has delivered another foldable mobile phone that is very like that of Samsung’s.

A number of brand-new Huawei products were unveiled at a recent massive event, including:

Huawei P60 series – the P60 Pro is the only phone on the market with a true variable aperture camera (global availability to be announced May 9, 2023).

Huawei Watch Ultimate – the first modern non-Apple smartwatch with a 100m submersion rating, a variable refresh rate display, and Qi wireless charging (global availability to be announced May 9).

FreeBuds 5 TWS earbuds, which take a completely different direction in design, allowing easier operation thanks to a massive touch-sensitive stem (global availability to be announced May 9).

Freebuds Pro 2+ – they bring “the industry’s first infrared and green light dual type heart rate monitoring”, which should enable high-precision heart rate and temperature tracking (global availability to be announced May 9).

Interestingly, the Huawei Mate X3, which is the latest foldable phone-tablet from the company, is one of the brands that has been talked about among the newly introduced phones. The Mate X3 somehow similar to Samsung’s current and forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold lineup.

The new Huawei Mate X3, which is significantly thinner and lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 4, breaks a number of records; brings a further developed camera and a stronger battery than Samsung’s foldable phone.

In China, the race in the “normal” phone market is as warmed as could be expected with Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo continually competing to one-up one another in advanced computer based intelligence, camera, battery, and charging tech (and succeeding).

However, China also has the largest and most innovative market for foldable phones. After Oppo’s excellent Find N2, it is now Huawei’s turn to shine with the Huawei Mate X3. The title of “best foldable phone” is typically never held by one company for too long.

A look at how the Mate X3 differs from the Galaxy Z Fold 4, the most popular folding phone/tablet:

Similar to the Fold 4, the Huawei Mate X3 now has an IPX8 water resistance rating.

The Huawei Mate X3 weighs 24 grams less than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Huawei Mate X3 flaunts bigger showcases – 7.85-inch internal and 6.4-inch external screens (versus 7.6-inch and 6.2-inch).

The Huawei Mate X3 has a slot for NM cards, so you can add more storage.

With its new 12MP periscope camera, the Huawei Mate X3 has a 5x optical zoom.

The Huawei Mate X3’s battery is larger than the Fold 4’s (4,400 mAh), depending on the model.

The Huawei Mate X3 has faster wired, wireless, and reverse-wireless charging (66W, 50W, and 7.5W) than Samsung’s foldable (25W, 15W, and 5W). These specs also make the Huawei Mate X3 the most useful big foldable smartphone that has been seen in recent times. The Mate X3 is unique in that it is nearly as thin as an iPhone 14 Pro Max!

The Mate X3 is just 1mm thicker than a big slab phone in a case and weighs 1g less than an iPhone 14 Pro Max!

How does that measure up to the Galaxy Z Fold 4?

The foldable from Samsung weighs 263 grams, is 15.8 millimeters thick at its thickest point, which is a significant difference, and is noticeably heavier (weight makes a big difference in small devices). This is because the Fold 4 cannot shut completely.

The close shut is slightly heavier than a “normal” phone and has an IPX8 water resistance rating. It support a multi-point pivot, and that implies (very much like the World Z Overlay 4), the Mate X3 can be used similar to possess mount for taking photographs.

But, the truth of the matter is, Huawei Mate X3 is an over the top expensive telephone, priced at generally $2,000, and obviously, yet incredibly it doesn’t run Google applications. However, this does not alter the fact that Huawei is doing its best to set new standards for what foldable phones can do or look like in 2023, which is admirable given the circumstances.
