Amidst Lizzo’s ongoing tour, the singer has taken to her Twitter account to reply at the body shamers and fatphobic remarks that she faces almost everyday.
Lizzo addressed the cyberbullies’ comments on Twitter about her weight and body in a series of tweets. The 35-year-old artiste rushed to hammer her skeptics before changing her account to private.
The “Truth Hurts” singer says that whenever she opens her social media account, she frequently sees fatphobic comments about herself. She claimed that someone said she ate a lot of fast food, which is false.
Lizzo said:
“she stopped eating fast food years ago” and is tired of explaining herself to others all the time.
“The Love definitely do not outweigh the Hate on social media… all because I’m fat????”, she went on. “Y’all don’t know how close I be to giving up on everyone and quitting and enjoying my money and my man on a FU**ING FARM”.
Lizzo went on to say that she is not trying to lose weight or get thin. “I’m literally just trying to live and be healthy,” she stated. Even though I exercise and eat very clean, this is how my body looks!
