Earlier this month, Tuchel was named manager of England. The German, who is 51 years old, signed a contract that will last until after the FIFA World Cup in 2026.
If England wins the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, Thomas Tuchel is said to receive a significant bonus.
Throughout his career as a club manager, Tuchel has won awards with Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich.
He now takes over as England manager from Gareth Southgate. Following England’s Euro 2024 final defeat by Spain, Southgate resigned as the manager.
According to The SUN, Tuchel has signed an 18-month contract with the FA, during which time he will earn at least £7.5 million.
In addition, it is said that Tuchel will receive an additional bonus payment of £3 million if England’s men win the World Cup for the first time since 1966, ending their trophy drought.
Tuchel’s reported annual salary of £5 million is said to be twice that of Southgate.
However, it appears that Southgate would have been eligible for a £4 million bonus if his team had won the World Cup.
England was led by Southgate to two World Cups. He led the Three Lions to fourth place in Russia in 2018, where they lost to Croatia in the semis.

After that, England lost to France in the quarterfinals in Qatar in 2022.
Additionally, Southgate led England to consecutive Euro finals. His team lost to Italy on penalties in the Euro 2020 final, and they lost 2-1 to Spain in the final Euro 2024 game.
Tuchel will begin his official duties for England in March 2025.
