A member of the Movement for Change’s Communications Team has intimated that if incumbent President John Dramani Mahama does not live up to expectations, Ghana’s democratic processes will be pointless.
Mr. Buckman said, the overwhelming support of Ghanaians for the president is a privilege and a directive for him to improve the nation’s situation.
He went on to say that, given Mr. Mahama’s experience as a former president and the fact that he is the nation’s last hope, it would be a huge disservice if his flaws overshadowed his accomplishments.
“If you take a critical look at how badly Ghana has been destroyed under our leaders, it is too much. The NDC is one leg of the duopoly, and if Mahama’s government fails, our democracy is gone. Then democracy is of no use to us [Ghana],” Mr. Buckman stated on Angel FM.
He said this in response to his dissatisfaction with the nation’s leadership, which is mostly controlled by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Speaking with Saddick Adams, the Movement for Change communicator promoted proactive leadership to take advantage of the nation’s abundant natural resources for development.
“I have said that there is no country in the world God has blessed more than Ghana. We have cocoa, gold, bauxite, and just a few of these…..,” he told Saddick Addams.
He also emphasised the need for leaders to wake up from their slumber and incompetence.
