Lino Sousa has signed professional terms with Arsenal FC Academy, and is expecting to establish a major impression throughout the next few years.
Lino Sousa says a central justification for him joining Arsenal’s Academy is the reasonable pathway to the first team that has been demonstrated as the years progressed.
“It’s an amazing feeling,” Sousa told Arsenal Media. “I’d like to thank the club for giving me this opportunity to be here and I’m just excited to get going to be honest.
“I’ve seen that obviously recently things have started to change a bit around here and a lot more young players are coming through and there’s a pathway there. That’s what I’m hopefully looking to aim to do and just progress into the first team one day.
“Bukayo and Emile are two players that have done it and there’s plenty more, and hopefully I’ll be able to add to that list one day.
“I just want to get my head down, get back playing, get into that under-23s team and then hopefully be with the first team for pre-season.”
For some players, moving to Arsenal’s Academy for the first time, would have frighten them – but for Lino Sousa, he is simply prepared for the test.
According to the savvy left-back, he can finally relax, particularly when the players heartily welcomed him to the team. Sousa has been with the under-18s and under-23s also, thus he can gel with a lot of the fellows.
According to Lino Sousa, he is a dedicated individual, and might want to defend, run, and simply have a good time and communicate his thoughts on the pitch.
