The Hon. Minister for Interior, Henry Quartey, has launched a new digital system to simplify the process of acquiring fire permits and certificates.
Henry Quartey switched from a paper-based to a digital platform when he launched an Automated Fire Permit and Certification Management System for the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).
The manual process of acquiring fire permits and certificates is replaced by this new system, which streamlines the process.
According to him, the digital transition represents a significant advancement because it replaces the manual system with a digital process that is more effective.
The minister stated,
“In a rapidly advancing digital world, Ghana can no longer afford lengthy bureaucratic processes that frustrate rather than facilitate,”
The Minister urged Fire Officers to fully support the system’s use and longevity. He additionally praised the Chief Fire Officer and his team for improving fire counteraction and security endeavors in the country.
