The Interior Ministry has denied issuing guidelines or procedures that would let any individual or groups especially pastors to evade security inspections.
This comes after false information went viral on social media that claimed some people, including pastors, had been given preferential treatment in order to get over security measures.
“These assertions are baseless, utterly incorrect, and should be ignored immediately,” the Ministry’s Public Affairs and Communications Unit stated in a statement.
The Ministry underlined its dedication to upholding national security and peace while guaranteeing all citizens equal protection free from prejudice.
In order to protect national security, it further cautioned against using its name improperly for illegal purposes or disseminating misleading information.
The Ministry’s emphasis on stringent security procedures was emphasized in the statement, which said:
“The public is urged to exercise caution and notify the authorities of any suspicious activity.”
In order to avoid spreading false information, it advised the public and social media users to confirm information via official channels before disseminating it. The Ministry promised to give accurate updates on its operations and policies and reaffirmed its dedication to transparency.
