Isaac Dogbe ‘Whips’ Chris Alvalos After A Long Break From Boxing

Isaac Dogbe

Former junior featherweight World Champion, Isaac ‘The Royal Storm’ Dogbe made a triumphant come back to boxing after an eighth round technical knockout to Mexican-American Chris Avalos. The bout which fell off at the MG Grand in Las Vegas, USA on Tuesday night, was an intense featherweight session.

The former WBO champion has been out of boxing since losing his title bout to Mexican Emanuel Navarrete in May, 2019. Since the loss of this title, fanatics of the fighter got disillusioned when he woefully lost the title to Navarrete.

However, his fans over the world were in high expectation for this match to go the way of Isaac Dogbe. He never disappointed his fans but made reparations on the 21st July, 2020 in Las Vegas in the wake of leaving Avalos speechless.

From the underlying minutes of the bout, it was an open exchanges of blows, yet the Ghanaian fighter ended up being the more keen puncher thereafter, tossing steady hits at the Mexican-American.

The ‘Royal Storm’ was, in any case, deducted points in Round 5 by the referee Russell Mora after he landed a low blow on Avalos. Dogboe then scaled up his punches, wounding the face of Alvalos.

The latter’s punches dropped essentially with each round and with a couple of moments as far as possible, he got a Dogboe left snare, which bewildered him. The battle was then stopped by Referee Mora. Dogbe set up everything with heavy jabs and that made the difference.

In the interim, Dogboe went into the battle without his dad, Paul, because of border closures in Ghana. With the triumph, the 25 year old record has gone up to 21-2, with 15 knockouts.
