Beyoncé and her father, Mathew Knowles, had a wonderful relationship before an audit forced the singer to remove Mathew Knowles from his managerial position for obvious reasons.
Their working relationship soured in 2011 between the two of them. It’s interesting to note that, following a financial audit, it was discovered that some of Beyoncé’s funds were missing, and Mathew may have been responsible for the error.
TMZ obtained additional information in July 2011 regarding the reasons Mathew Knowles was fired as Beyoncé’s manager. Knowles attributed his release to Live Nation Entertainment, as stated in the legal documentation he provided. Knowles stated that prior to Beyoncé’s 2011 world tour, the team was trying to seize her earnings.
“In the documents — obtained by TMZ — Mathew Knowles claims Live Nation Entertainment wanted desperately to sink its fangs into Beyoncé’s 2011 world tour,” reads the article from TMZ.
According to the documents, Mathew asserts that Live Nation informed Beyoncé that he “had stolen money from Beyoncé on her most recent tour or otherwise taken funds that [he] was not entitled to.” Beyoncé was informed of this by Mathew.
Knowing that Beyonce had hired her new manager from the company, Knowles would add to his argument that the group had a plan. However, it appears that Live Nation Entertainment performed additional investigation into Beyoncé’s spending habits.
According to the report, Mathew Knowles was found guilty of stealing money from Beyonce’s tour during an audit. The report also contained additional information.
Mathew also made a big claim that a law firm was involved in his firing by conducting an audit to identify the funds that were missing. It turns out that the lawsuit came to the conclusion that the missing funds had been taken by Beyoncé’s father.
“Beyoncé had her law firm conduct an audit, and the law firm concluded Mathew had indeed pilfered money from her,” TMZ reported. “Mathew claims Live Nation was effective.” After that, she let him go.
In the end, Mathew wanted to sue Live Nation Entertainment and investigate how the audit came to the conclusion that he was to blame.

TMZ came to the following conclusion:
“Mathew insists the theft accusations by Live Nation are false, and he wants the judge to give him the right to take depositions of various people at Live Nation, to determine just how they concluded he was a thief”.
Despite all the claims, Beyoncé’s team intelligently decided to keep quiet about the matter. The singer would finally issue a statement, claiming that everything was okay between the two sides, and they were just parting ways on a business level.
“I’ve only parted ways with my father on a business level. He is my father for life, and I love my dad dearly. I am grateful for everything he has taught me. I grew up watching both he and my mother [Tina Knowles] manage and own their own businesses. They were hard-working entrepreneurs and I will continue to follow in their footsteps,” she said in her statement.
Meanwhile, Mathew took to Twitter in the summer of 2022, praising her daughter for her single, ‘Break My Soul’.
He tweeted,
“I want to take a moment to congratulate @Beyonce on the release of her latest single “Break My Soul.” I know how excited she is to share this new, upcoming album with the world.”
“I also want to express how proud I am of her. Many of you know her as “Queen Beyoncé” or “Bey”—and to me, she will always be my daughter first and foremost. I love her dearly and she continues to astonish me each day not just by what she has accomplished, but by who she is as a human being.”
Knowles concluded in his tweet,
“Sometimes, I wonder how she would respond if we had a time machine and could show her past self when she was just getting started what she’d achieve and who she’d become. You are loved my daughter.”
