ITA Airways Will Now Be Flying To Kotoka International Airport

The debut flight landed at roughly 19:39 hours to a water gun show respect for by the Resue and Putting out fires group of Ghana Air Company Limited.

Mrs. Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare, the managing director of Ghana Airports Company Limited, presented the ITA team with her congratulations at the launch.

She said that the start of flight operations on the Rome-Accra-Rome route is a clear sign of confidence in Ghana’s aviation industry and significantly boosts efforts to position Ghana as a preferred aviation hub and leading airport business in West Africa.

Mrs. Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare went on to say that the introduction of the direct flight route heralded a new era of convenience and efficiency for travelers, whether they were traveling for business or pleasure. It provided passengers with a greater variety of options and facilitated seamless connectivity between these two bustling cities.

She addressed the new commissioning of Tamale International Airport and Prempeh I International Airport in Kumasi and urged intrigued airlines to explore the valuable opportunities in those business sectors and tap into every one of its prospects.

According to the MD, Ghana Airports Company Limited is committed to providing unwavering support for ITA Airways in order to ensure that the airline consistently achieves high on-time departure and arrival performance.

She stated,

“Our expectation is that ITA Airways will go the extra mile to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless travel experience to passengers’ she said.

Vice President Sales, Pierfrancesco Carino, Ghana’s Ambassador to Italy, H.E. Merena Botsio Benyah, Ambassador of Italy to Ghana and Togo, H.E. Daniela d’Orlandi and Reverend Stephen Wilfred Arthur, Director, Economic Regulations and Business Development, Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, were among the other speakers at the event.

The arrival of ITA Airways at Kotoka International Airport makes it the 24th international airline to do so. The airline will work four week by week trips on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from Italy to Accra.
