The Italian city of Naples has renamed Napoli football club’s San Paolo home arena after Diego Maradona.
Maradona, one of the game’s most prominent players who kicked the bucket a month ago at 60 years of age, holds a SPECIAL status in the southern Italian city subsequent to burning through seven important years playing for the Serie A club.
Naples city committee affirmed the renaming of the arena in his honor on Friday fourth December after deep thoughts. It will presently be known as the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
According to authorities of Napoli, they named the San Paolo after Maradona, so they can keep him (Maradona) with them as an observer of the astounding path Napoli has taken.
Diego Maradona drove Napoli to the club’s first Serie A title in 1987 and a second in 1990. Paintings of the Argentine actually embellish dividers over the city.
