It’s Official: Barcelona Names Marc Vivés As The New Sports Director Of Women’s Football

48-year-old Marc Vivés Usón is the new Sports Director of Barcelona Women’s Football, with responsibilities from the professional to the youth teams in the section.

Vivés has heaps of experience working in Japan with Vissel Kobe and with women’s football structures. He was previously the technical director at the Catalan Football Federation (FCF).

He takes over from Markel Zubizarreta, who left the position last month after accomplishing exceptional work to take the first team to remarkable levels.

Vivés has world class insight and is from a scholastic background, having gone through the most recent 20 years fostering the exact arrangement of abilities expected for this post.

During his post at the Catalan Football Federation, he was engaged with dealing with the Orgullosa (Pride) program to promote the women’s football, overseeing the development of current stars of the calibre of Aitana Bonmatí, Patri Guijarro, Claudia Pina and Ona Batlle, among others.
