Malia Obama, the daughter of former US President Barack Obama has made a critical choice as she sets out on her journey into Hollywood. Nonetheless, the 25-year-old has decided to drop her renowned last name of her dad.

Malia Ann Obama, who is the oldest daughter of Barack and Michelle Obama has officially dropped her last name ahead of her Hollywood career. The 25-year-old, who recently graduated from the Harvard University, was introduced as Malia Ann – filmmaker in the Sundance Institute’s Meet the Artist spotlight video.
