
Speaking candidly about her divorce from Ben Affleck and her twins, Max and Emme, Jennifer Lopez described how she supported them over a trying year.
JLo talked about how she informed her 17-year-old twins, Max and Emme, about her divorce from Ben Affleck. Lopez stated in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El País that she told her kids the truth. Rather, she was straightforward with them in a difficult moment.
She assured her twins,
“I said, ‘I promise you, this is a difficult time, but you’re going to see that I’ll come out the other side stronger and better, she told her twins.
The actress and singer described 2024 as “a terrible year full of unforeseen curveballs,” describing it as a difficult year for her. Lopez stated that her primary concern was her children’s welfare in spite of the emotional and professional challenges, which included a postponed tour and the publication of her self-funded documentary.
Lopez claimed that in order to make sure Max and Emme were supported throughout the trying time, she entered “mother bear mode.” She took satisfaction in being able to help her kids get through difficult times and felt that the experience had made them stronger and better.
She added that, she was looking forward to the milestone of her twins, whom she has with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, starting college the following year.
Lopez stated that they were no longer infants and that they had grown and matured significantly. She also mentioned how her healing journey had given her a profound sense of serenity and that her kids could now sense the positive energy that resulted from it.
Earlier this year, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez finalized their divorce. Despite the dissolution of their marriage, the couple seems to get along well. In recent public appearances, Affleck has spoken well of Lopez, demonstrating that any conflicts from the past are now behind them.

Despite the public curiosity in Lopez’s private life, she maintains her groundedness.
“I’m coming from a place of good intentions,” she said, adding, “At the end of the day, I’m just human like the rest of us…learning from my mistakes”, adding that she was coming from a position of good intentions.
Lopez now disclosed that her twins are doing well and are prepared to enjoy life to the fullest.
In a statement that purposefully left out her postponed 2024 tour, she called it a “wonderful time” and added that the last time she had felt this way was six years ago.
