Jadon Sancho’s Celebration Of Rashford, And Why The Fans Are Incensed

Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford received a message from Jadon Sancho following his spectacular Villa debut on Sunday. However, a lot of Manchester United supporters are upset about the winger’s remark.

Marcus Rashford, who had struggled at Manchester United after losing the respect of manager Ruben Amorim, finalized his transfer to Aston Villa until the end of the current campaign.

The 27-year-old made his debut by coming off the bench in Villa’s FA Cup fourth-round victory over rival Premier League team Tottenham. The Midlands club may extend his contract this summer.

Former Red Devils player Sancho expressed his support for Rashford on social media on Sunday after the player posted a number of images to Instagram, saying he was happy to see his old teammate start over away from Old Trafford.

Freedom‘ was written by Sancho online.

The blessing and raised hands emojis were used in conjunction with this.

Under former Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag, Sancho, who like Rashford is still officially bound by his contract with Manchester United, went through a similarly trying time at Old Trafford.

Rashford made his debut for Villa during their 2-1 victory over Spurs in the FA Cup fourth round.

A number of United supporters were enraged by the now-Chelsea star’s remark and quickly responded beneath the striker’s post.

The fans actually took a lot of shots at Sancho.

• One wrote: ‘Can’t work hard for united but you can for villa. Leave us ASAP.

• ‘Bad attitude = freedom.

• Another supporter said: ‘What the flop you guys are’

• One also added: ‘Y’all should form lazy bros fc’

• Another fan wrote: ‘Freedom from Hardwork….. Sancho, same with you.’

Rashford rose through the academy and immediately became Manchester United’s future star, while Sancho paid a hefty £73 million to join the Red Devils in 2021.

Chelsea Signs Jadon Sancho On Loan From Man United

In Manchester, Rashford had better times than Sancho. Before things went south, he scored an incredible 29 goals in the 2022–2023 season and 138 goals overall for the team.

The 27-year-old’s poor performance during the previous season caused him to drop further in Ten Hag’s hierarchy, and as a result, he was cut from Gareth Southgate’s England team for the 2024 European Championships.

Soon after arriving at Old Trafford, Rashford and Amorim had a falling out, and at the beginning of January, he made the shocking announcement that he wanted to leave his boyhood club.
