Jamaican Reggae Sensation Etana Releases A New Album. It Has Samini And Wale On It

Two-time Grammy-nominated reggae star Etana has released a new album “Nectar of the Gods,” on July 26, 2024. She is now one of the most important figures in contemporary reggae music thanks to the album, which combines soulful melodies with amazing lyrics.

Since her debut in 2006, Etana has churned out eight acclaimed studio albums, “The Strong One,” “Free Expressions,” “Better Tomorrow,” “I Rise,” “Reggae Forever,” “Dimensions” “Gemini” and “Pamoja”. Her reputation for creating music that resonates with listeners all over the world has been solidified by the numerous awards and accolades she has received for her work.

In 2018, Etana received a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album for her album “Reggae Forever,” and in 2021, she received another Grammy nomination for her album “Pamoja.” Both of these albums have been critically and commercially successful.

An impressive roster of collaborators appears on “Nectar of the Gods,” including the Ghanaian dancehall superstar Shatta Wale and Bugle, a well-known reggae artist known for his socially conscious lyrics. Randy Valentine, a versatile artist whose distinctive blend of dancehall and reggae is also on; Samini, an award winning Ghanaian performer with a solid presence in the Afrobeat and dancehall scenes; Jamaica’s legendary reggae star Big Youth; musician Mr. Cheeks; and Jon FX, the Billboard top charting producer who has worked with artistes like Gyptian and Akon.

The song “Nectar of the Gods” has important messages about love, perseverance, and gratitude.
