Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, also known as Nana Agradaa, has been criticized by government spokesperson Kwaku Owusu Banahene as destructive and motivated by a desire to damage the reputation of Sammy Gyamfi, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod).
Speaking on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Thursday, May 15, 2025, Banahene claimed that Agradaa’s demeanor implies that she has been possessed by Jezebel’s spirit. “Agradaa negatively manipulates and controls individuals,” he stated.
“As a lady who can stand in front of the camera and talk about her bedroom life on social media, Agradaa has a Jezebel spirit in her,” he continued.
Speaking further on the subject, Mr. Banahene claimed that the contentious Agradaa had a premeditated strategy to shame and set Mr. Gyamfi up, referencing her recorded video that went viral online.
He posed a rhetorical question, “Why did Agradaa install a camera on Sammy Gyamfi while he was counting the money?”
According to Owusu Banahene, he finds it hard to accept Agradaa’s behavior and wonders why someone who profited from her extortion acts as a “Sika Gari” during her tenure as a fetish priestess would ask Sammy Gyamfi for money, which he believes is done for other reasons.
He supported Sammy Gyamfi’s kind gesture by saying that helping others has always been in his nature.
“Sammy Gyamfi is a giver. Anyone who has worked with him before will testify,” he added.
He also expressed his uttermost dissatisfaction in some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) who were urging on His Excellency John Dramani Mahama to take action against Sammy Gyamfi.
“The most distressing thing is, some of our very own NDC members who urged on the President to remove Sammy Gyamfi, what will they gain from this?” he questioned.
On Wednesday, May 14, President Mahama pardoned Sammy Gyamfi but warned him not to repeat the same conduct in the wake of the controversy to warrant his dismissal in the future.
