The five-bedroom, nine-bathroom California mansion that actor Jim Carrey has put up for sale is being offered for almost $29 million.
According to Sotheby’s International Realty, which is handling the sale, the expansive 12,700-square-foot property in LA’s upscale Brentwood neighborhood is spread out over more than two acres of land.
Everything from a grand piano to an outdoor tennis court can be seen in a series of photos that go along with the listing.
Interestingly, Carrey is an actor as well as a painter and sculptor who has shown his work in galleries in the United States and Canada. The actor is also known for his vivid canvas paintings and a recent NFT collection of political cartoons that he posted frequently to Twitter during the Trump administration.
Among Carrey’s many works is the well-known “Hooray We Are All Broken,” which features four abstract polka-dot figures against a bright background. In the meantime, he created the bronze sculpture “Ayla” for a picture of the property’s garden.

Other original Carrey works are on display, including paintings that were featured in the 2017 short film “I Needed Color,” in which the Hollywood star talked about his creative process.
Jim Carrey says that when he started painting a lot, he was so obsessed with it that he had no place to move in his house. In point of fact, paintings were found everywhere and were even being incorporated into the furniture he was eating food on them.
The framed Riddler costumes from Jim Carrey’s performance in 1995’s “Batman Forever” and the artworks are not thought to be included in the $28.9 million asking price.
According to the property listing, Jim Carrey’s house was built in 1951 and included in it is a movie theater as well as a swimming pool with a waterfall.
Carrey gave the Wall Street Journal a statement in which he said that he no longer spends much time in his home, which he had owned for nearly 30 years. Before quoting a popular song by David Bowie, he said,
“I want someone else to enjoy it as I have.” Ch-ch-ch-changes!”
