Joy 99.7 FM is proudly celebrating its 30th anniversary today, May 1, 2025, marking three decades of impactful broadcasting in Ghana. Joy FM, which was founded in 1995 as the flagship station of the Multimedia Group Limited, has grown to be a vital part of Ghanaian media and is renowned for its dedication to quality, reliability, and creativity.
Victory Bible Church in Kokomlemle, Accra, had a moving Thanksgiving service earlier this year to kick off the 30th anniversary celebrations. In order to show appreciation for the station’s journey, the event gathered together stakeholders, management, and employees.
The CEO of the media firm Kwasi Twum highlighted the station’s development into a broadcast powerhouse while reflecting on its modest beginnings.
“Multimedia, see how far the Lord has brought us. We are a living testimony”, the CEO said.
He attributed this triumph to divine favor and unwavering determination. We serve as a living example.
The Multimedia Choir and gospel musician Perez Musik performed during the celebration, fostering an environment of gratitude and introspection. One of Joy FM’s founding speakers, Bishop Yaw Owusu Ansah, emphasized the station’s solid Christian foundation and its influence on Ghana’s media environment.
