The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has named actress and film producer Juliet Ibrahim as its Director of Pan-African Actors Relations. The focus of this appointment is on fostering cooperation and solidarity among African acting communities. Her appointment is a component of a broader actor drive toward continental solidarity.

In order to promote cooperation, common standards, and group projects, she coordinates with actors, guilds, and industry stakeholders from all over Africa.

Additionally, she will advocate for improved representation for performers across Africa, equitable compensation, and protections for intellectual property.

AGN is co-hosting the Nollywood–South Africa Actors Roundtable (NSAR) in Johannesburg this July to create frameworks for royalties, bargaining, and rights; Juliet Ibrahim’s role supports her participation in the NSAR.

As a well-known actress, producer, and writer from Ghana, Juliet Ibrahim has a pan-African career that spans several nations and languages. Her commitment to international collaboration and empowerment in African cinema is demonstrated by her AGN involvement.

Her work fits in perfectly with AGN’s objectives for NSAR 2025, which will be held in Johannesburg from July 9–13, 2025, and where she will be instrumental in establishing industry standards and continental policy.

The multiple award-winning filmmaker posted the following on social media in response to her appointment:

“I am honored to be appointed as Director, AGN–Pan African Actor’s Relations by the esteemed National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Dr. Ejezie Emeka Rollas, MON and the Actor’s Guild of Nigeria”.

“As President of Women in Film,Television and Media (WIFT) Ghana, a filmmaker, actress, and advocate for Aftican creatives, I see this as a powerful opportunity to strengthen unity, foster cross-border collaborations, and open new doors for African storytellers globally”.

“Though honorary, this position is a calling I embrace with passion and purpose—knowing that building a stronger industry for future generations is the true reward”.

“To the entire AGN family: thank you for the trust. I’m ready to serve, connect, and champion Pan-African excellence in film and entertainment”.
