In his assertion, Timberlake didn’t exactly specify why he regrets his actions against the two artists, but his remarks come during a period of restored discussions identifying with two separate newspaper fueled periods in his career including Spears and Jackson.
Jackson, in the interim, has been something of a staple topic of discussion around Super Bowl time as of late, with most recalling the unfair ire that was directed the superstar’s way following the controversial “wardrobe malfunction” halftime show.
You’ll recall that during the incident, Timberlake ripped off Jackson’s bodice, uncovering her right breast, during their presentation. This year, Jackson’s fans, who feel she endured results to her profession that Timberlake didn’t, utilized #JanetJacksonAppreciationDay to show their adoration. Jackson recognized the movement with a couple of retweets on Twitter.

“I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed. I also feel compelled to respond, in part, because everyone involved deserves better and most importantly, because this is a larger conversation that I wholeheartedly want to be a part of and grow from.”
