Kevin Durant Takes A Big Swipe At Kendrick Lamar’s Performance At The Super Bowl

NBA player and ardent Drake supporter Kevin Durant has taken a swipe at Kendrick Lamar’s recent performance at the Super Bowl.

Despite the widespread praise, the athlete has admitted that he wasn’t particularly captivated by Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show.

The Phoenix Suns star described Lamar’s performance on Monday, February 10, as “boring” and stated that he wasn’t particularly interested in it.

“It meant nothing to me,” he said to reporter Dana Scott. “No thoughts — I didn’t really pay attention to it to be honest. It was a little boring day for a Super Bowl. The game got out of hand. The Super Bowl Halftime Show — I didn’t pay attention to it. I kinda skimmed through the whole thing, to be honest.”

For years, Durant and Drake have maintained a close relationship. Kevin Durant spent some time with the 6 God in Toronto during the summer, and he even received an A&R credit on Drizzy’s 2023 album “For All the Dogs.”

“Whenever Drake just wants to talk about life I’m there for him and he just gave me that title,” the Suns star previously said of his A&R role with Drake.

Before the album is released on Friday, February 14, it seems that Drake may have sent Durant some records from the $some $exy $ongs 4 U collaboration project with PartyNextDoor. Drizzy and PND have a “classic otw” with the project, according to Durant, who supported the endeavor.

On Tuesday, February 11, Drake released another teaser for $$$4U and unveiled the snowy cover art for the collaborative project. The Absolute Towers in Mississauga serve as the backdrop for the fur-coated Drizzy and PND on the cover.

Meanwhile, the most-watched Super Bowl halftime show ever is Kendrick Lamar’s 2025 performance.

According to Roc Nation, Apple Music, and the NFL, which made the announcement on Tuesday, February 11, it had 133.5 million viewers.

The audience for the show was higher than the Super Bowl itself and Michael Jackson’s legendary 1993 halftime show performance.

“We’ve broken the record again! The most watched Apple Music Halftime show EVER, with 133.5 Million viewers,” he wrote on Instagram.

Lamar also made history as the first solo rapper to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
