Airport Council International (ACI) has named Ghana’s Kotoka International Airport (KIA), as the Best Airport By Size and Region for 2021. Yet again KIA has emerged winner of the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award for (2.5 million passengers each year) in Africa.
The Kotoka International Airport has sequentially received ASQ Awards for the same category in 2019 and 2020. The award is in acknowledgment of the success of all stakeholders in giving an unrivaled customer experience during the most difficult and challenging long periods of the pandemic.
The Airport Service Quality Award program is the world’s leading Airport customer experience estimation and benchmarking program. The ASQ departure program measures customer satisfaction on departure across 34 key performance indicators.

The greater part of the world’s travellers go through an ASQ airport, of which Kotoka International Airport is a part. Following a second year of the pandemic, this year’s ASQ award winners are particularly reflective of customer experience initiative during the most difficult time in the sector’s history.

Airport Council International (ACI) in partnership with Amadeus will celebrate the 2021 ASQ winners at an award ceremony on September 14, 2022 in Krakow, Poland during the ASQ forum and ACI Customer Experience Global Summit.
This is the third time Kotoka International Airport is getting acknowledgment for this honor.
