Multiple award winning Ghanaian vocalist KiDi says he doesn’t follow trends to stand out as an artist. He expressed this during an interview with Caroline on Asaase Radio on Thursday July 27, to promote his new tune ‘Likor‘.
According to the vocalist, he always want to establish a pace for others to follow as opposed to creating controversies to do promotions. ‘ Likor‘ is the most recent song released by the singer after a short hibernation from music.
KiDi expressed in the interview that, he believes every artist ought to have the option to have some time off from music for quite a while to investigate their career, the progress so far, and most importantly, take a look at their health status.
‘Likor‘ features Reggae Dancehall star Stonebwoy, and is now excelling on every single streaming platform. Addressing a few questions on the Asaase Radio program, KiDi revealed that collaborations with other artists is vital in each entertainer’s career.
In that, it grows the reach of artists, particularly the good collaborations. As a result, he is personally expecting all the more, good collaborations with American artists after the Indian one.
Talking about music promotions, the hitmaker said, the successful promotion of music is reliant upon money. If the music is good, and there is absence of resources to push it, the progression is eventually slow. Thusly, he believes good music remain closely connected with money.
He added that, Ghanaian artists are putting forth a valiant effort, and so he is encouraging all entertainers to cease from bringing a thing into comparison with anothers. He said, Ghana music industry ought to focus on on improving it, rather than continuously making comparisons with other countries.
KiDi is one of Ghana’s biggest acts. And according to him, he learns more from senior artists like Ofori Amponsah, despite the fact that his adoration for legends like Kojo Antwi, Daddy Lumba, Amakye Dede and Samini is extremely profound. In the meantime, ‘Likor’ has been released. Go check it out!.
