Kim Kardashian is considering leaving Reality television and becoming a full time lawyer. The 42 year-old reality star, has as of late, expressed her intention to focus on her profession.
As long as she can make a positive impact in this field, Kardashian has indicated that she is comfortable with the idea of leading a life away from the spotlight.
When asked if she would ever consider a life away from the camera, she responded,
“I would be just as happy being an attorney full-time.”
“The journey just really opened up my eyes so much,” she shared. “It gets overwhelming because there’s so much to be done … I brought my sister Khloe to a prison for the first time last week, and that was really eye-opening for her.”
“I hope so,” she said. “I always joke with my mom — who’s my manager — I say Kim K. is retiring, and I’m just going to be an attorney.”
When Kim Kardashian learned about Alice Marie Johnson’s case in October 2017, she began her reform efforts.
Johnson had been in prison since October 1996 for assisting in a drug trafficking case’s communications. Johnson was overlooked despite having nonviolent drug charges that were comparable to those of the 231 people who were granted clemency by then-President Barack Obama in 2016.

Through a Mic video report, Kardashian learned about the case and retweeted the video to express her disbelief at the injustice. She became a vocal supporter of Johnson’s clemency from that point on.
Upon Johnson’s release from jail in August 2020, Kardashian kept on battling for the privileges of other unfairly sentenced detainees. She even went so far as to request the temporary release of a father who was in prison following the tragic shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, in which his daughter was killed.
The lives of those impacted by the criminal justice system have significantly benefited from Kardashian’s unwavering commitment to reform and justice.
