King Charles Celebrates Second Anniversary Of His Mum’s Death. The Full Report

The Royal King Charles III has commemorated the second anniversary of the death of his mother at Crathie Kirk, which is close to the beloved Balmoral estate of the deceased monarch.

On September 8, when he and his wife were taken to the church for Sunday worship, the 75-year-old King appeared to be in good spirits.

While Queen Camilla, 76, wore a red-and-green tartan ensemble and a matching hat, King Charles was dressed in a charcoal-gray suit with a black and burgundy tie.

Earlier this summer, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and the Prince and Princess of Wales joined the couple.

Charles and Camilla are spending some time at Balmoral, a place Queen Elizabeth especially adored and where she died.

It was quite a while back today that Elizabeth II died calmly at 96 years old, following a 70-year rule.

Charles had been the longest-serving presumptive successor in Britain’s history.

While the nation and the world were able to pay their respects to the country’s longest-serving monarch at the Queen’s funeral on September 19, there were times during the historic service when viewers were reminded that the day was primarily about a family mourning a loved one who had passed away.

The Princess of Wales kept close contact with her two older children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, on this sad day. She gave them gentle touches. When the family got to the Abbey, she grabbed her daughter’s hand.

In fact, it has been a particularly difficult year for King Charles. Around the same time that his 42-year-old daughter-in-law Kate Middleton shared her health struggles with a disease, he also announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer in early 2024.
