Kofi Kinaata’s ‘Thing Fall Apart’ To Be Studied At KNUST

Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science And Technology (KNUST), has conceded authorization for Kofi Kinaata’s ‘Things Fall Apart‘ song to be studied.

The song will be studied by students in the English Department of the school. The study, as indicated by the Management of the school, is beginning this semester.

Things Fall Apart‘ will be studied by the level 200 students of the English Department for the first semester of the 2021/2022 scholarly year.

This decision was arrived at due to the literary device and melodious arrangement of verses or stanzas in the song. This was shared on the social media (Twitter) handle of the school:

“Because of the literary devices and lyrical arrangement of stanzas set up in Kofi Kinaata’s [@KinaataGh ] Song “Things Fall Apart”, the English Department of KNUST have authorized the song to be studied by level 200’s for the first semester of the 2021 /2022 academic year,” the tweet reads.

In the range of 6 years, the English Department of KNUST have approved three of Kofi Kinaata’s songs to their students. The melodies are ‘Susuka’ (2016), ‘Confessions’ (2018), and then the recent one ‘Things Fall Apart’ in 2022.
