
The Presidency’s Diaspora Affairs Office Director, Kofi Okyere-Darko, received recognition at the Otumfuo Millennium Excellence Awards, which took place in Kumasi’s Manhyia Palace.
Under the auspices of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Millennium Excellence Foundation conducted the May 9 celebration, which honored those who have significantly contributed to the advancement of the country.
Kofi Okyere-Darko received recognition for his significant contributions to Ghana’s cultural and artistic fields.
During his acceptance speech, Okyere-Darko thanked the Asantehene and the Millennium Excellence Foundation for the honor.
His career in the creative sector, which started in 1996 and includes radio, music, fashion, cinema, and event presenting, was reflected upon. He underlined that the honor acts as inspiration to keep advancing the creative sector with zeal and determination.
Musician Kofi Kinaata, Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, and Dr. Nick Danso were among the other distinguished honorees at the ceremony. President John Dramani Mahama celebrated the occasion by attending as the Special Guest of Honor.
Okyere-Darko has received congratulations for this accomplishment from the Diaspora Affairs Office and other notable figures.
