On Thursday, March 27, Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), the Presidential Adviser on Diaspora Affairs, had the privilege of speaking at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
He spoke lengthily about Ghana and why everyone needs to visit the country, the diaspora, and the importance of bridging continents in his speech.
The well-known Ghanaian media personality and fashion entrepreneur thanked Professor Sam Cherribi for the invitation and emphasized the chance to talk about the value of strengthening ties between Ghana and its international diaspora.
President John Dramani Mahama named KOD the Presidential Adviser on Diaspora Affairs in February 2025.
In this capacity, he works to improve relations between Ghana and its diaspora groups by promoting Ghanaian opportunities and history overseas by utilizing his vast media and cultural ambassadorship experience.
