Kylian Mbappé’s ongoing PSG contract expires in 2024. The team had acknowledged a £258m offer from Al Hilal last month.

As per the club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, Kylian Mbappé will play for Paris Saint-Germain this season, and is supposed to stretch out his agreement to 2025.

The France international trained with the first team of the club on Sunday after he demonstrated he is focused on the club.

Al-Khelaifi told the PSG players on Sunday morning: ” Kylian is committed to PSG. Kylian is back”

PSG later said in an social media post:

“Following very constructive and positive discussions between Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappé before the PSG – Lorient game, the player has been reinstated into the first team training squad this morning.”

This comes after Mbappé had recently told PSG he won’t leave the club for any reason during this window and was ready to pass on the whole season.

Mbappe’s ongoing contract expires in 2024, but the forward dismissed the one-year move to Saudi Arabia after he was linked to Al Hilal.

In the mean time, PSG are in chats with Al Hilal over the sale of Neymar, with the Brazilian prepared for a transition to Saudi Arabia.

PSG want a significant fee for Neymar, who cost them a world record £200m to sign from Barcelona, which will help with financial fair play considerations.

At 31, Neymar is not thought to be a key player for new head coach Luis Enrique as he builds a new side. PSG have been open to selling him in order to focus on forming a younger, hungrier team.
