Kylie Jenner’s Lion Head Gown That Sparked Criticism From Fans

‘Beauty And The Beast’, according to Kylie Jenner. This outfit have attracted loads of criticisms

Kylie Jenner makes headlines again with her extremely realistic lion head gown at Paris Fashion Week. At the Paris Fashion Week’s Schiaparelli Haute Couture Show, Kylie stood out among the crowd. The billionaire wore a black gown as she walked down the runway, and she carried a life-size lion’s head on her shoulders.

The brand was described as being made of “foam, wool, and silk faux fur, and hand painted to look as lifelike as possible” on the brand’s Instagram account. It also added the disclaimer,

“NO ANIMALS WERE HARMED IN MAKING THIS LOOK,” at the end of the caption to make things clearer.

Additionally, Kylie Jenner posted photos from the event to Instagram with the caption “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.” She thanked Schiaparelli’s creative director and designer, Daniel Rose Berry, for the experience. In addition, she clarified that her outfit was a “faux art creation constructed by hand using manmade materials.”

Kylie Jenner’s outfit drew a lot of online criticism from fans as soon as the pictures from the fashion show were shared on social media. Schiaparelli’s Instagram post attracted a diverse response from one user. She wrote,

“We have to stop showing animals as luxury ‘products’. They may be made from foam but these are endangered species that have historically been killed for their pelts to be turned into garments.”

Other users left comments claiming that Jenner should not have worn it.

The French fashion house, which was established in 1927 by Elsa Schiaparelli, was influenced by the Surrealist Art Movement. Exotic animal furs and skins were used by the luxury brand when it was at its peak.

However, the fashion house hasn’t used real fur since Tod’s Group brought it back in 2012. Naomi Campbell walked for the show as well as Kylie, donning a life-like black wolf’s head.

Ingrid Newkirk, president of PETA, had a different reaction to Kylie Jenner’s Schiaparelli gown. “These fabulously innovative three-dimensional animal heads show that where there’s a will, there’s a way,” Newkirk said of Kylie’s appearance in an interview.

She also said that Kylie Jenner’s look could be a protest against trophy hunting, which she described as “a situation in which lion families are torn apart to satisfy human egotism.” It should be noted that Jenner has previously been criticized for her use of genuine fur.
