Lauryn Hill Historically Joins The Diamond Club- Becomes First Female Rapper To Have Achieved This

Lauryn Hill’s introduction Album ‘The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill’ which was released in 1998 has joined the Diamond Club in the wake of selling more than 10 million copies in the US, making her the first ever female rapper to accomplish that status.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) made the news official on Tuesday (February 16), tweeting its congrats to the vocalist.

The 1998 album was a commercial success, selling 422,624 copies in its first week and appearing at Number One in US charts.

In the UK, it crested at Number Two, while the record has sold an expected 20 million duplicates universally.

Adele, Britney Spears and some other female artists have fairly accomplished this Diamond selling record accomplishment but Lauryn Hill is the first female rapper to have inconceivably done this.

She currently joins 2Pac, Outkast and Eminem to have sold 10 million copies of a Album.
