
Ghanaian highlife legend Kaakyire Kwame Appiah has revealed that he has produced 36 artists from Ghana in his career.
The “24th” and “Kwadonto” hitmaker stated in an interview with Asaase Radio:
“I have produced 36 musicians who have collectively released 76 albums.”
He disclosed that his brother Kwame Mickey used to run his company, Kaakyire Music Productions, when he had several hits.
According to Kaakyire, things are not like before, because the industry has changed a lot since the days of CDs and cassettes.
Kaakyire has collaborated with many artists, including Osuani Afrifa, Hallelujah Voices, Sibo Brothers, and some others.

The highlife legend claims that he has collaborated with numerous artists, including top Gospel artists.
“I have also produced Ex Doe and numerous others. We have collaborated on about five or seven albums with Paa Solo, and I have worked with individuals such as Reverend Michael Osei Bonsu, Abena Amponsah, Uncle Ato, and many more,” he detailed.
The “Yekodi Bronya” singer, who is now a Chief also revealed that he also likes gospel music.
“I love gospel music; that is me, but what I know is that the gospel people followed King David, and we, the highlife people, we are also following his son, Solomon, so I have to blend all of them. I love gospel music,” he added.
