Legendary Singer Nana Fynn Has Now Rebranded To 2Lock

Legendary Highlife singer, Nana Fynn, now rebranded as 2Lock has opened up about his long break from the music scene.

In a recent interview with 3Xtra (on TV3), Nana Fynn known for ‘beast’ hit songs like ‘Menkoaa’, Odo Handkerchief, ‘Romeo’ and others said he simply wanted to have some time off from music, but ended up spending more than 10 years from music.

Nana Fynn has been off the music radar since 2014.

“I haven’t hidden myself. One circumstance led to the other. I took a hiatus from music somewhere in 2014. I just wanted to take a three-year break and it has become a decade break,” she stated in the interview.

Nana Fynn has now changed his stage name to ‘2Lock’ and is looking to rebrand. According to the singer, he released a song before the Coronavirus, but promotion of the tune was hindered due to the pandemic.

“I feel I am on a new mission and I am going to do more reggae for that new mission because there are message that must go worldwide,” he explained his rebranding.

Despite the fact that, he is rebranding to a reggae performer, 2Lock noticed that he has not totally created some distance from highlife. However, he’s available to playing out his hit tunes to Ghanaians.

In 2000, Nana Fynn released his first album ‘Ankwansema’. The second album ‘Odo handkerchief’ was released in 2001. This was followed by ‘Dokodoko’ in 2003 with the hit song ‘I do’.

He released another album, Magic in 2005 with ‘Romeo’ as the hit song. In 2008, Nana Fynn dropped the ‘Twe Wo Ho’ album.
