Lionel Messi’s First Game Was Reasonably Good But Not..

Lionel Messi’s move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain was the a major news. Fans of Barcelona were baffled, while that of PSG are amazingly happy at Messi’s entrance into the team.

The football world were hoping to watch his first game, and how he will fit into his new ‘home’. The Argentine captain at last, made his debut on Sunday August 29 for PSG.

But Messi’s came on as a subsequent half substitute in the 66th minute of the game for Neymar in the team’s 2-0 Ligue 1 win over Reims. Indeed, much was expected from him.

Having not played since the Copa América Final in July 2021, Messi missed the first two matches since joining PSG as he continuously works his direction back up to full wellness.

Stepping on the pitch was like ‘crazy’ for the fans of PSG, as they were glad seeing Messi in their Jersey for the first time in his career. On the pitch, he was a bit not his typical self, as it might take a brief period before he is up to speed and gel with his new teammates.

Each time he touched the ball, he spread quiet all through the team. He is by all accounts radiating some sort of energy, and will perhaps show his real class in his next game.

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappé played very well, scoring the two goals for PSG against Reims to proceed with PSG’s perfect start to the season.
