Malta President And Wife Decorated With A Beautiful Kente Fabrics By Asantehene

The President of Malta and his wife made their maiden visit to the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Saturday March 9. The couple were gifted with some gorgeous handmade kente fabrics.

They were in Ghana on a three-day state visit which officially ended on March 9, 2024.

During their visit to the Manhyia Royal residence in Kumasi as part of their visit through the Ashanti region right then and there, Otumfuo and his wife Lady Julia decorated the Maltese first couple with rich and beautiful kente fabrics.

Presenting the fabric to President George William Vella on behalf of His Highness Otumfuo were the Paramount Chief of Bompata Traditional Council, Naa Effah Apenteng and Linguist Baffour Kantankrakyi.

On the other hand, Lady Julia made another presentation of one more piece of fabric to Her Excellency Miriam Vella.

The couple was supported in cladding their separate fabrics the traditional way amidst some photographs with the King and his significant other.

The Maltese First Family was accompanied to the Manhyia Place by Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Stephen Asamoah Boateng.

Among the President’s entourage who paid the visit to the Palace were Malta’s Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Research and Innovation, Keith Azzopardi Tanti, Secretary to the President of Malta, Ms Rosette Spiteri Cachia and Malta High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Jean Claud Galea Mallia.
