Indeed, Mariah Carey will make this festive season, a lovely one, as the grammy award winning artist is back with another Christmas melody.
Apple TV+ announced this on Tuesday November 2 that the “All I Want for Christmas Is You” hitmaker is getting back to the streaming platform for an all-new season, this December with Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues.
The special will feature the sole performance of Carey’s new single, “Fall In Love At Christmas,” which features Khalid and Kirk Franklin.
Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues denotes Carey’s second uncommon for Apple TV+, as she featured in Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special in 2020.
The long list of stars featured Tiffany Haddish, Billy Eichner, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson and that’s only the tip of the iceberg.
The new tune and Special comes not long after Carey bid farewell to Halloween and hi to the Christmas season by posting a video of herself crushing pumpkins and proclaiming, “It’s time.”
Carey is known for her adoration for Christmas, with the 1994 holiday track, “AlI Want for Christmas Is You” being one of the popular Christmas songs. At the time, she uncovered how she is so proud of the track.
As indicated by Carey, she isn’t relaxed with regards to it, and doesn’t underestimate it. She said:
It’s taken me all these years to just listen to the song at Christmas and enjoy it as a listener,” she said of the much-beloved track. “For so long I would put it on, it’s part of my Christmas playlist, and pick it apart. All the other artists’ songs would come on and I’d just be enjoying the Christmas spirit, and then I hear that and I’d go, ‘Why did I keep that there? Why didn’t I change that?'”
For Mariah Carey, when you record a Christmas album, it’s something that people can play for quite a long time to come.
Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues will be out globally on Apple TV+ in December 2021.
