Matthew Opoku Prempeh Adjudged The Minister Of The Year

Ghana’s Energy Minister Matthew Opoku Prempeh has been named as the 2023 Minister of the Year at the 5th Ghana Ministers of State Excellence Honuors.

The event fell off at the Holiday Inn on Friday (22 December), with several other Ministers of State also being awarded.

On getting the award, the minister expressed his appreciation to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for offering him the chance to serve in his administration.

He stated,

“It is a challenge and an encouragement to continue to give off my best as a public official, to the best of my ability, to the people of Ghana”

He also thanked his staff for their ceaseless help given him, empowering him to play out his obligations as well as could be expected.

“Whilst I am eternally grateful to His Excellency, the President, for the opportunity to serve. I pay glowing tribute to the dynamic team I work with. They are the bulwarks behind the success story,” he added.

“Overall, I am grateful to the almighty God for his protection and sustenance and for granting us resilience and fortitude. This honour is once again deeply appreciated,” Napo said.
